How to be an inventor - Part III
Thursday, January 3rd, 2008The counselor also helped me write up a sample bait letter to send it over to the potential manufacturers. Then he showed how the public libraries have access to the business directory information and walked me through that. After that I did mail the bait letters to around one hundred potential businesses. Of those couple came back asking for more information and they rejected my idea that it would not fit into their line of business but I am hopeful that there is someone out there who might be interested in pursuing the development and marketing of my idea. Essentially I was able to patent my idea with less than $1000 as against the common notion that it takes thousands to get a patent done. This just proves that if you are passionate about an idea, you can always find some ways to make it happen. I am happy and already I have couple other ideas which I am planning to patent waiting for this one to materialize.
